The Hinkler House Memorial Museum & Research Association Inc. is an organisation whose committee administered the Museum from 1983 until 2008.

The committee was first formed in 1983 to overview the relocation of Bert Hinkler's home from Southampton, England to Bundaberg, Australia, his home town.  It was responsible for the finances of the Museum, the maintenance of the structure, and its archival and display material.

In partnership with the Bundaberg Regional Council and the Federal and State Governments, the Hinkler Hall of Aviation incorporating Hinkler House Memorial Museum, was opened on 7 December 2008.  The Hinkler Hall of Aviation and Hinkler House are now operated by the Bundaberg Regional Council.

The Hinkler Hall of Aviation is open daily, except Christmas Day, Good Friday and on the morning of Anzac Day.  Special emphasis is placed on educational tours and activities associated with Bert Hinkler's incredible life and achievements.
